Golem
Author: Gustav Meyrink
5,40 €
Gustav Meyrink's mystical novel transforms Prague's Jewish quarter into a realm of dreams, doubles, and uncertain consciousness.
The narrator puts on another person's hat and experiences the life of restorer Athanasius Pernath in a dream. Old ghetto streets, occult symbols, and unstable identity form a story that resists a straightforward realistic interpretation. The golem motif evokes collective memory and return.
