What is Anička a cirkus about?
For Anička, the arrival of the circus is something she wants to experience from more than a seat in the audience. She heads to the big top with her classmates after school and becomes so fascinated by the circus that she starts wondering what it would be like to perform.
Her curiosity brings her back again. There she meets Bětka, a young tightrope walker whose everyday life is very different from Anička's world of school. The girls' encounter lies at the heart of the story, revealing the circus not just as a show but also as a place where people live and work.
The story combines childhood curiosity, a new friendship, and the desire to try something extraordinary. It remains grounded in Anička's ordinary life as it briefly intersects with the appealing, unfamiliar world of the circus.
