Percy Jackson – Moře nestvůr

Moře nestvůr begins with a threat to the place where young demigods should feel safe. Percy's school year ends with an attack by giants, Grover is in trouble, and Camp Half-Blood's defenses are weakening. Rick Riordan sends his hero on another journey through Greek mythology, linking the rescue of a friend with responsibility for a shared home.

About the book

When Thalia's tree is mysteriously poisoned, the camp's magical borders begin to fail. The heroes need an object that can save the camp, and finding it means traveling to the Sea of Monsters.

Percy's concern for Grover gives the quest a personal purpose as well. Danger also intrudes into ordinary school life when gym class becomes a confrontation with man-eating giants. The adventure brings ancient mythological creatures into the modern world.

As Poseidon's son, Percy must combine inherited abilities with choices of his own. Friendship, courage, and trust take on new significance when the entire camp's safety is at stake. Following Zloděj blesku, this second book develops the relationships introduced in the first adventure.
