Posledná šanca
Author: Andy Weir
17,56 €
Ryland Grace finds himself on a small spacecraft, unable to remember even his own name. Returning memories gradually reveal the scale of a mission whose failure would threaten Earth and humanity. Andy Weir's Posledná šanca combines a science-fiction adventure with the mystery of its protagonist's memory and his need to understand his task. This Slovak e-book suits readers of problem-solving adventures in space, where knowledge is a condition of survival. At its center is a person who must act despite lacking basic information about why he is there.
About the book
Ryland Grace is the last survivor on a mission upon which the fate of humanity and Earth depends. This enormous responsibility comes with an unusual obstacle: at first, he remembers neither his name nor the details of his assignment. A mission of rescue becomes linked to identity and the reconstruction of the past.
Grace occupies a small craft created through the joint efforts of space agencies and governments. The premise reveals the scale of the threat: a concentrated human endeavor unfolds for the protagonist within a confined space. Alongside the vast goal is the personal problem of finding the understanding and knowledge needed to act.
As memories return, his understanding of the situation changes. Information is more than explanation for the reader; it is what Ryland needs to grasp his role at all. The novel creates room for investigation, exploration, and decisions under pressure.
Posledná šanca suits science-fiction readers who enjoy scientific questions and a protagonist facing a demanding task far from Earth. It combines isolation in space with responsibility for the whole world.
