What is Temné vody – Belladonna about?

After earlier events, Cassandra Caravellová tries to distance herself from memories of the painter Falco and grows close to her fiancé Luca again. The calm is short-lived. Luca is arrested in the middle of the night, and Cassandra must find evidence that could establish his innocence. Her search leads to the Book of the Eternal Rose and then to Florence. There she encounters stories of vampirism, secret meetings, and the activities of the Order of the Eternal Rose. Falco also reenters her life, now directly connected to the mysterious Belladonna, who heads the order. Cassandra must navigate loyalty, feelings, and the need to distinguish truth from deception. As the second volume of a trilogy, Belladonna develops characters and conflicts introduced in the previous book while moving much of the story to Florence and placing greater emphasis on the secret order and its interests.
