Author: Vlastimil Vondruška
13,56 €
The second volume of Husitská epopej follows the extended Prokop family from 1416 to 1425. The Czech lands split into competing camps, and historical events reshape the lives and choices of individual family members.
Vlastimil Vondruška connects personal fortunes with the building of Tábor, crusades, disputes over the Four Articles, and the death of Jan Žižka. Relatives find themselves on different sides of the conflict. The novel portrays both Catholic and Utraquist communities without a simple division into good and evil.
